10 years ago you used to be able to get away with black hat SEO tactics and succeed in taking over the online world. Today, it’s getting harder and harder to play the game without putting an emphasis on the importance of local SEO (search engine optimization) as well as social media. A well designed website, social media and local seo all go hand-in-hand to a successful organic SEO campaign. Today, we’re going to do a simple case study showing how a little bit of effort can help go a long way. This is just the first step to a long and successful part of helping put our clients, Cleanrite-Buildrite, on top.
Cleanrite-Buildrite has 5 different locations making it important to focus on every location. This first case study is based on the Chico, CA location and is focused on the “Fire and water restoration, Chico” search term.
BEFORE
When doing preliminary research on CRBR we couldn’t find any local listings. In fact, they weren’t showing up organically or with paid advertisements. We were able to quickly identify a few key issues. 1. Is their organic local search listings and the other issues pertained to on-page SEO and web development. We began by tackling their local SEO listings. Claiming listings, cleaning them up and optimizing them correctly.
It was only a short time before we started to see results…..
DURING:
During the local listings phase of working with CRBR we monitored their online presences regularly. Within a short time we saw that online local listings were starting to appear (thank you google algorithm shifts) and that Cleanrite-Buildrite was taking a lead. We then proceeded to implement another strategy. We’d tell you what that is, but that’s our secret ;)
PRESENT:
Currently CRBR is killing it with it’s #1 organic rankings. As you can see in the below screen shot, they’ve got the #1 spot for websites and the #1 local spot as well. As we continue to implement and roll out other aspects of this online strategy, they will continue to grow their online presence.
When you typed in fire and water restoration Chico, CRBR used to not show up at all. Not for online listings, not for their website and not for images. They’re now showing up number 1 for all three. Oh did we forgot to snap a photo of their images search. They didn’t show up under any photos, they’re now dominating it, including maintaining the number 1 place holder. Google indexes these photos from a variety of places including the website, social media outlets and other online sources. We’d tell you our ways but that wouldn’t be any fun. ;) When people stumble on these photos and click on them, it’s another way to bring them back to CRBR. In the below screenshot of “fire and water restoration chico” the red boxes are for CRBR.
Local listings and knowing how to optimize photos for local listings is just one step in a bigger strategy to help increase a businesses online presence. It’s important to remember that google and it’s users are in a time in which they want constant, reliable information so the more your online presence is set up to work for a user, the better off your business is going to be.
